Daily Poets' Choice

What is this page? It is another way for members to contribute to the daily poem. We have to read a lot of poetry and some pointers in the right direction would be welcome.

On the Daily Poets' Choice you can let us know which poem you would feature if it was your pick and, equally important, why.

There are a few rules (or guidelines) to follow though.

<img11*0:stuff/1285_wiki_Icon%2520Hoard_92L1cPqSgN2.1> Recommended poems should, obviously, abide by the Daily Poem Rules. Both the poem and the choice will be removed if the poem doesn't.
<img11*0:stuff/1285_wiki_Icon%2520Hoard_92L1cPqSgN2.1> There is a limit of three (3) choices per trimester, per person. You cannot recommend four (4) poems at the same time.
<img11*0:stuff/1285_wiki_Icon%2520Hoard_92L1cPqSgN2.1> Recommended poems should have better reasons than 'I liked it' or 'My friend wrote it' etc. We don't request a full-length essay. Just summarise, in at most five (5) sentences, why you like it so much.
<img11*0:stuff/1285_wiki_Icon%2520Hoard_92L1cPqSgN2.1> If someone has already listed your choice, please do not list it again. Add your reasons to the existing recommendation, as well as your name.
<img11*0:stuff/1285_wiki_Icon%2520Hoard_92L1cPqSgN2.1> The Daily Poets' Choice will be cleared out entirely at the end of the closed month.

So you're interested in recommending a poem, but don't know where to look? Check out the daily poem.

Example

Poem Title: Poetic Delusions
Poet(ess): [Sunrose]
Nominator(s): [2000HRS]
Why? Another inspiring poem. It's very romantic.. well in some way. Not a "I love you" romantic way, you get my point. And it's pretty sad. I don't usually write/read love poems and like them but it's just amazing.

(Remember to give both the title and the poet's name. Add your recommendations below the last one on the page.)

Poem Title: Imagine our Future
Poet(ess): [Bulma]
Nominator(s): [Corazie]
Why? It makes you actually think about what our future may actually be like. Can we change it or is it too late?

Poem Title: Ad in the Classifeds
Poet(ess): [Aruruen]
Nominator(s): [Girl of the Canopy]
Why? I think this poem is very charming; it is at once humorous, succinct, and original.

Poem Title: Untitled
Poet(ess): [Tyrana]
Nominator(s): [Nite_Owl]
Why? A very interesting poem, both deep and abstract, and very ominous. A great piece, with few words to muddle its meaning.

Poem Title: Fire and Brimstone
Poet(ess): [Robert Mischief]
Nominator(s): [Tyrana]
Why? I love poetry that plays with words in a way that is more physical than emotional. The alliteration is paired really well with the hidden acrostic style, and the result is creative and interesting.

Poem Title: Green Grasses Made Gold.
Poet(ess): [Thrice]
Nominator(s): [ChaseBABY.]
Why? Candid had written this poem after finding the two-faced personalities of the people surrounding her. I think that it has a beautiful message, and a deep meaning.

Poem Title: Abashed
Poet(ess) [dark starlight]
Nominator(s): [Tekkon KinKreet]
Why? Dark starlight is a wonderful poetess and she continually pumps out great writings. This writing is hearlfelt as usual, which is a must i believe in poems, even if it's not that good. This one though, really makes me believe that she is describing an event or her feelings on a person with heart.

Poem Title: Noisebox
Poet(ess): [Chetleon]
Nominator(s): [Dream Doll]
Why? I just read another poem by him (Mania in the Morning) and thought that this one was better than that one. Also I read some of his other poems and their great too.

Poem Title: To Look Upon A Lover
Poet(ess): [Nioniel]
Nominator(s): [W.L.]
Why? This poem contains a lyrical complexity that is uncommon and expressive. Unlimited by the rhyming form which many find passe, this poem expresses something powerful, intriguing and universal. It deserves attention.

Poem Title: Falling In December
Poet(ess): [Nioniel]
Nominator(s): [Tyy(:]
Why? There are so many ways to interpret this poem based on whether or not "you" and the "mysterious stranger" are one and the same or two different people. That type of ambiguity makes for great poetry; this is either a real sweet love poem or the most horrific of betrayals. That's cool!

Poem Title: Losing Time
Poet(ess): [Nioniel]
Nominator(s):[Tyy(:]
Why?It's a beautiful poem about love and perspectives...conjours up beautiful visuals.

Poem Title: A February Lament
Poet(ess): [Nioniel]
Nominator(s):[W.L.]
Why?Once again, "A Phoenix Rising" captures something vital and here the sense of conflict is wonderfully portrayed. The final lines of the poem make for an awesome twist that keeps the reader thinking.

Poem Title: Autumn Leaves
Poet(ess): [Dark Side of the Moon]
Nominator(s):[kamisch]
Why? Personification is used to the utmost sense of beauty in this poem of change for an old tree. The way she wears the seasons, as jewels, coats and other adornments, purely magical. You can really picture the whole thing (I'd really love to draw it now!). Besides, "crystalline cotton"...that's gorgeous.

Poem Title: Next week, Darling
Poet(ess): [kamisch]
Nominator(s):[Chetleon]
Why? It's me, so I'll be blunt, it's the only poem on that page worth a damn this round (--Including one's I've written). As a plus---I love the strong will with which the character is revealed, a brief burlesque into a sarcastic mind. Kamisch does a great job of exploring the irony of a topic like masculinity in her closing stanza. All in all, I've got to say it was well deserving of the time to re-read it twice.

Poem Title: Fraud
Poet(ess): [Din N Ginger]
Nominator(s):[Artemis Rising]
Why? Although it is a four line poem, it has a powerful message: you make the day as you wish. I'm also impressed with the mastery of the English language, grammar, and punctuation that [Din N Ginger] possesses, considering he is fully Nigerian. To grasp the complexity of English poetry, pentameter, and symbolism is a triumph alone.

Poem Title: Valkyrie
Poet(ess): [Deus Ex Taco]
Nominator(s):[Artemis Rising]
Why? I rarely find the subject of war worthy of poetry, but this poem is the exception. The timing in this poem is, intrinsically, what holds the complexity of resting war together and makes it a strong nomination. Having the immense pleasure of asking [Deus Ex Taco] about his inspiration, it was pleasantly surprising. But I won't spoil that for you, as I'm sure you'll want to ask when you feature him!

Poem Title: Beginning Fists
Poet(ess): [elf_fu]
Nominator(s): [Olwen]
Why? This is a very heartfelt poem, something obviously close to the writer's emotions. It gave me goosebumps!

Poem Title: To Diary, From Heart, Then Art Of All Things
Poet(ess): [davis van]
Nominator(s): [kamisch]
Why?: It's that essence of really getting into a writer's heart, their soul...and the way an idea will form for them (us!). "It begins as a storm" ...and yes, it really does. Our words are our children, and they really do tend to have a life of their own once we let them out of the box! And this poem corrals those carefree words briefly to remind us what they are, what they mean. I'm so in love.

Poem Title: Written by [Mortified Penguin]
Poet(ess): [Mortified Penguin]
Nominator(s): [Mortified Penguin]
Why?: In this brilliant, yet short poem by [Mortified Penguin], the author explores a number of topics, like morality, the identity of the self, and even the nature of existence. This ontological masterpiece questions the necessity of existence, while simultaneously defining Being itself. It's masterfully crafted and takes the reader on an adventure through the mind, leaving them filled with meaning and questions. How can such grounding of the epistemological function be articulated without assuming an a priori and unwarranted existential premise? Why does this poem make me so moist? These are the kind of questions left behind that we can never really comprehend or understand or chew. But yet, after reading this poem, they must be asked and you'll be left wanting more. I highly recommend this poem and give it a solid 4/10!

Poem Title: The lITTle poem in propour ENgliSh
Poet(ess): [Mortified Penguin]
Nominator(s): [Mortified Penguin]
Why?: I liked it. My friend wrote it.

2004-10-23 [Linderel]: Whoa. That was surprising. o.O I'm flattered. Whee, I love the idea of this page, have to start thinking of nominations meself.

2004-10-24 [owly__]: oh wow. thank you. I feel honored already.

2004-10-24 [Sunrose]: I think [Augury] mixed up who the nominee and the poet is..more people might do this..

2004-10-24 [Ocean Dreaming]: o_O Another Rain Dance was written by [owly__], [Sunrose] ;) ANd the nominee was [Augury]. Unless the last author was playing tricks on me and it wasn'r [Augury] who added that. It'd have been nice if it was mentioned which part, though.

2004-10-24 [Sunrose]: I thought the word nominee meant who you nominated and poet meant the one who nominates (it being the poet's choice). If the nominee is the one who nominates it should be the word nominator... :)

2004-10-24 [Ocean Dreaming]: In that case, it isn't [Augury] making the mistake, it's me.

2004-10-24 [Ocean Dreaming]: Fixed. Goes to show that I should be more careful writing at 1 AM in the morning.

2004-10-24 [Sunrose]: Hehe, well...you could take it two ways..since it's 'The Poet's Choice'..the poet could be the nominator too! ;) You just improved it this way ;)

2004-10-24 [Ocean Dreaming]: The basic idea is to let *poets* nominate other poets. Hence "Poets' Choice". Nominee was the wrong word, however. Nothing was improved, just fixed.

2004-10-24 [Sunrose]: I know, I was just joking since it could be taken that way. It would make sense too..just a way of looking at it.

2004-10-24 [Keii]: Okay... this is confusing me. So the poet(ess) is the person the you nominate....

2004-10-24 [Ocean Dreaming]: Yes. Unless 'nominator' suudenly became 'someone who is nominated' as well.

2004-10-24 [Sunrose]: LOL! Now [Ocean Dreaming] made the changes it shouldn't be so difficult to understand, me thinks.. :)

2004-10-24 [Keii]: Yeah, 'nominator' is clearer than 'nominee'.

2004-10-24 [Sunrose]: :)

2004-10-25 [alkabong8888]: When love from one person is all you want…

2004-10-25 [Sunrose]: Yea that would be nice :)

2004-10-25 [Sunrose]: Oh my! Thanks [2000HRS]..! *blushes*

2004-10-25 [Ocean Dreaming]: I'd like to point everyone at the daily_poem3 and the daily_poem4 as there are more poems there. ^-^

2004-10-26 [2000HRS]: I never knew how much of poems can I person write, until now. No problem [Sunrose], you deserve it.

2004-10-26 [Sunrose]: Well if you write one poem each day...your whole life...go figure! Thanks again! Teehee! ^^

2004-10-26 [2000HRS]: I havn't write poems like in forever. Most of them 'em very violence and depressing (suicide) so I can't put 'em on here lol.

2004-10-26 [Sunrose]: Well of course you could always try and write about other things, you just have to focuss on things arround you that are more positive...once you start doing that you will notice more and more good things around you to write about and It might even make you feel better in the long run..

2004-10-26 [2000HRS]: I tried. It went for the opposite way. I mean like I can't focus. All my "good" poems always turn into sucidal ones.

2004-10-26 [Sunrose]: Keep trying, it will get better..

2004-10-26 [Doormat]: well it takes inspiration...and they'res still plenty of traces of dark and evil things lurking in my poems...but they've gotten better :D

2004-10-27 [dycz]: speaking of poetry.. i have lots of ideas.. but im not really good in english grammar... too bad for me...

2004-10-27 [Sunrose]: You can ask someone to help you with that if you really want to write poetry..

2004-10-27 [Ocean Dreaming]: Well, if you really want to write poetry in English. ;) Grammar takes practice, as everything else does. I'm sure there are people willing to help explain the grammar you have problems with. A lot of (foreign) people, for example, have problems with 'then/than'. English isn't the only language, though it is the only language the DP accepts.

2004-10-28 [dycz]: thanks for the help....

2004-10-28 [Ocean Dreaming]: This should have been unnecessary to say, but... Poems HAVE to appear on the Daily Poem pages! [ArchangelGabriel], your recommendation wasn't and has been removed.

2004-10-28 [ArchangelGabriel]: oh right sorry. I thought it would be easier to just give the poem its own wiki.

2004-10-28 [Ocean Dreaming]: It isn't.

2004-10-30 [2000HRS]: Hmm.. I still suck at grammar.. I believe. I've been writting poetry for pretty much 2 1/2 years.. but it's been better.

2004-11-06 [Ocean Dreaming]: Say... Does anyone mind if I replace the existing example with one of your recommendations?

2004-11-06 [owly__]: nope. though I think you're example is cool.

2004-11-07 [Doormat]: knock yourself out...not actually though :D

2004-11-07 [Ocean Dreaming]: *blushes* Thank you. The reason I'm asking is because that's literally an example and has fairly little thought to it. Your submissions are different. ^-^ It could be that I know, but it's an obvious difference for me.

2004-11-07 [Ocean Dreaming]: [2000HRS], I'll change the example if you have any objections. I hope you don't, though. ^-~

2004-11-07 [2000HRS]: not at all.

2004-11-07 [Sunrose]: *blushes* ...

2004-11-07 [2000HRS]: lol.. hahaha.

2004-11-08 [Doormat]: *blushes* woot?

2004-11-11 [Natasha17]: how do I vote 4 you KoRnKID8892?

2004-11-11 [Sunrose]: You can follow the examples on this page and nominate one of [2000HRS]'s poems.. :)

2004-11-11 [Natasha17]: examples?

2004-11-11 [Sunrose]: Have you even read the page??

2004-11-11 [Natasha17]: yeah i just don't get how 2 do it

2004-11-11 [Sunrose]: Just follow the example you can see ON this page..maybe you should try and read it again..

2004-11-11 [Ocean Dreaming]: Or... you could go read the Daily Poem FAQ to see how to edit a wiki-page, as I think that's the problem. Replace the bit about poems with the Daily Poets' Choice.

2004-11-14 [Amos the Flame]: Ch'yeah! I was picked today!... heh, sorry for my post, I just wished to thank Shanra... and whoever else took part...

2004-11-15 [Natasha17]: okay well??? umm.....

2004-12-16 [Nite_Owl]: *stare**blink blink* wow...i was actually nominated??? coolness!! lol (^,^)

2005-01-18 [Natasha17]: yep at least you were i'm just not good with directiond i guess. lol

2005-01-26 [Sunrose]: I think I am going crosseyed..I read as page-heading: deadly poet's choice >.<

2005-01-26 [True, plain and simple]: It's because you're a n00bmon. :)

2005-01-26 [Sunrose]: Heh! :P

2005-01-27 [Doormat]: pokemon! where?

2005-01-27 [Natasha17]: lol nobody knows

2005-02-05 [Ocean Dreaming]: DAH! Forgot to clean out the page. *bangs head against desk* Baka, baka, baka!

2005-02-05 [agirlnamedluna]: To [Ocean Dreaming] : I hope I submitted that right, there were no other nominations so I just put it at the end of the page

2005-02-05 [Ocean Dreaming]: I moved them to the correct place on the page. Additions should never be below the navigational section. Thanks for the submissions. ^-^

2005-02-06 [agirlnamedluna]: Oops, that's where I was confused about thanks ^_^

2005-02-09 [M_Sinner]: Umm... Am I allowed to nominate my own poem? I was doing what my friends suggested... Perhaps I should have made them do it if they were so worried about it... oh well! I suppose that if it's a "no," then I will know soon enough. Lol.

2005-02-09 [Natasha17]: well i don't know if my poems are good enough to even put out on et.

2005-02-10 [Ocean Dreaming]: It's fine, Unko. ^-^ There's no rule against nominating your own poem. Or I'm blind and didn't spot it ;) tasha, there's no harm in trying. ^-^ I'd say go for it. Just be sure to follow the Daily Poem Format and the Daily Poem Rules. ^-^

2005-02-10 [Natasha17]: oh i'll have to look i'll have to find one first *throws papers*

2005-02-10 [Ocean Dreaming]: [Achrador], please don't overwrite other people's opinions or names.

2005-02-10 [Natasha17]: no no i meant one of my own

2005-02-10 [M_Sinner]: Nono... it's ok... I asked him to do so... I was self-conscios about nominating myself... I'm ok with achrador changing it...

2005-02-10 [Natasha17]: o i thouht u were talking to me

2005-02-11 [2000HRS]: are you telling me that you can nominate yourself? I mean... no artist get awarded for nominating themself. Someone has to nominate them... but hey it's just what I think.

2005-02-11 [Achrador]: ok, do you really thinnk that I would take the time to overwrite some ones edit, with out bieng asked to. I have far better things to do than waste my time messing up peoples posts.I Am SORRY for the incconvience.

2005-02-11 [Ocean Dreaming]: I think if you really feel that strongly about your work, why not give it a try? It takes a great deal for artists to like their work, leave alone think it's good enough to warrant self-praise. [Achrador], yes I would. No offence to you intended, but for everyone who won't do such there is at least a dozen of people who would. That can be any reason. In any case, you shouldn't post anything but finished arguments anyway as unfinished ones generally would get the whole nomination removed. People generally seem to have a hard enough time following instructions without allowing faulty examples to remain.

2005-02-11 [Achrador]: I do understand what you are talking about, and I am sorry if I came out wrong at all. I usally have no reason to go and do things of the like, and even if I HAD a reason it is not worth it, for it causes things as this... I do not want any controversy about anything, and I want everything to be peaceful, so Sorry, about the problem. I could not do that because it is wrong and I could not do that....

2005-02-11 [Natasha17]: wait do what? man i'm noisy lol

2005-02-11 [Ocean Dreaming]: It's alright, don't worry. When it happens, it usually happens by mistake. No one's angry, even though I've been told several times I sound a bit... egded. Don't worry about it. ^-^

2005-02-11 [Natasha17]: oh ok sry to be noisy...

2005-02-11 [agirlnamedluna]: oooh if I would've known lol ... I put up about the only poem I'm proud of ... but I already took my three nominations a trimester

2005-02-12 [M_Sinner]: What is the name of the poem?

2005-02-12 [Natasha17]: yeah wait what?

2005-02-12 [Doormat]: ummm...you can nomiate yourself?

2005-02-12 [-tsukasa-]: I've got a vote and it's been on for only a few minutes YAY ^.^

2005-02-12 [Ocean Dreaming]: As long as it's not prohibited in the rules - yes. Why not? If we see people abuse it, we'll make a rule against it. But there's no reason to disallow it yet.

2005-02-13 [agirlnamedluna]: [M_Sinner] It's called The Inevitable Ending ... tell me what you think :)

2005-02-13 [M_Sinner]: k, thanks. I am looking for it as you read this.

2005-02-13 [Natasha17]: nobody sayb hello

2005-02-13 [-tsukasa-]: I know the contest starts in march but on wich day?

2005-02-13 [Ocean Dreaming]: Which contest?

2005-02-13 [Natasha17]: lol see told ya guys

2005-02-13 [agirlnamedluna]: HI [Natasha17] !!!!! ( happy now ? ) [M_Sinner] Thanks for nominating it :)

2005-02-14 [Natasha17]: Hello agirlnamedmedluna

2005-02-14 [-tsukasa-]: Daily poem contest

2005-02-14 [Linderel]: [-tsukasa-], you seem to have a slightly wrong picture about this. Daily Poem isn't about competing at all, it's simply about getting your work featured if the Daily Poem Bosses feel like featuring it. We are not competing; we are providing Elftown with a form of art to add to the enjoyment.

2005-02-14 [ArchangelGabriel]: So you wouldn't add this to the Contest wiki?

2005-02-14 [Ocean Dreaming]: Most definitely not. It's not a contest. We pick whatever poems we like and feature them. Yes, we'll pay attention to all the same things a contest would, but far less strict. If this was a contest - we might change the DP five times a year due to the insanely high quality standards that come with a contest.

2005-02-14 [ArchangelGabriel]: Ok.

2005-02-15 [-tsukasa-]: oww sorry my mistake ^.^

2005-02-15 [Natasha17]: ok i'm outie this is getting borring...peace out!!!

2005-02-23 [-tsukasa-]: not a lot off nomination's. StRaNgE there are a lot off good poems

2005-02-23 [Ocean Dreaming]: So nominate a couple more! ;) Preferably from th3 DP3 & 4, as we're mostly featuring from those right now.

2005-02-24 [Natasha17]: hello again

2005-02-24 [-tsukasa-]: okay

2005-02-24 [Natasha17]: i was saying hello lmas

2005-02-25 [agirlnamedluna]: I think I passed up on all my nominations for the trimester right ? I did read through page 4 but at not even half of it I already had three

2005-02-25 [Ocean Dreaming]: I only see two poems listed ;) We're still in the learning stages. As long as your total on the page doesn't exceed three, it should be fine. And we can change it later it this does or doesn't work according to plan.

2005-03-03 [Ittai]: [M_Sinner], your choice entry was removed. You cannot recommend your own poem.

2005-03-03 [Ocean Dreaming]: She can, m'dear ;)

2005-03-03 [M_Sinner]: Umm... Unko is a "he"... Lol.

2005-03-03 [Natasha17]: oh

2005-03-03 [Ittai]: Really? :S Oh, lol! ^^ sorry [M_Sinner].. :P

2005-03-03 [Natasha17]: k ?.?

2005-03-03 [M_Sinner]: Lol... it's no problem... I have been told that I act like a girl on many occasions... that's not necessarily a good thing. (or a bad thing, I suppose). Lol.

2005-03-04 [Natasha17]: yeah....

2005-03-05 [Ocean Dreaming]: For the record, I'm blonde ;p Anyway, yes. As long as no one abuses the ability to nominate their own work, I don't see any reason to forbid it. We're asking for good reasons anyway, and if a poet can find those in his/her own work, it's probably worth checking out. Unless the poet is an arrogant, talentless snob who thinks the works are 'teh best'. ;) We don't have any member like that, I think. ;)

2005-03-05 [Ocean Dreaming]: Apologies for the gender thing. ^-^; I'll try not to make such stupid mistakes again.

2005-03-07 [Natasha17]: O.O

2005-03-07 [Achrador]: wow..npw I have seen (or read) it all..Thought you guys would go to house of that individual..lol... ohwell...lol..

2005-03-07 [Ocean Dreaming]: Would you care to explain just where it says in the Elftown rules (or international laws if you prefer) that we're not allowed to make mistakes? It happens. Please keep the comments on this page relevant to the subect matter. Or have a good reason to say something. Whichever. But I don't want this comment section to be used as a place for random comments. There are plenty of wiki-pages and forums for that. Comments having nothing to do with the Daily Poem of the Daily Poets' Choice will be deleted. If you absolutely cannot resist the urge to continue on the previous topic, take it into the messages. Thank you.

2005-03-07 [Natasha17]: what do u mean by that???

2005-03-07 [Ocean Dreaming]: I mean, just what I say. Random comments, comments unrelated to the main subject of the page and pointless comments will be deleted without warning or message.

2005-03-07 [Achrador]: ok...dannnngggg... unko i a close friend..and I was just meesing with him. and he knows it...lol....i was only kidding I do not say anything mean to others regardless of the reason...lol.....sorry

2005-04-14 [nowheremontana]: it that the right way to submit?

2005-04-14 [Ocean Dreaming]: It is.

2005-04-14 [nowheremontana]: ^^ yay

2005-04-29 [Ocean Dreaming]: [inuchild87]: 1) You need a decent reason to submit poetry. That explanation doesn't cut it. 2) Your poem was removed. Check the damn pages before resubmitting recommendations. We don't remove them without a reason. Do not recommend the poem again. And note that if I catch one more person using a reason we specifically stipulated was unaccaptable to recommend their own poem, they'll spoil it for everyone who does have good reasons to recommend their own work.

2005-05-19 [Cookieholic]: *falls down out of suprise* haha mine is up there O.O

2005-05-19 [Cookieholic]: ow yeah he's right too =P *goes to correct mistake* (and it was memoires, not memoirs =P) (corrected that here too =P my bad)

2005-05-27 [FantasticPsycho]: can you nominate yourself?

2005-05-27 [Linderel]: Yes, you can, just as long as you can give them a good reason why they should feature your work.

2005-05-29 [Feller]: Is it possible to see previous nominations of ur poem/s?

2005-05-29 [Ocean Dreaming]: Look through the page versions.

2005-05-30 [Feller]: Still can't find the one I'm looking for :/...

2007-02-06 [Eriseith]: so an individual could nominate themselves if they believe they have a good enough reason to?

2007-02-06 [Linderel]: That will probably need to be discussed before I can give you a definitive answer.

2007-02-07 [Eriseith]: hypothetically if someone wrote a poem, based on a part of history from someone's point of view, would it be a worthy nomination?

2007-02-07 [Linderel]: Oh, wait, I just read the earlier comment I made ages ago... I guess it still applies, assuming [True, plain and simple] doesn't disagree.
So for now, yes, you can nominate something you wrote yourself if you can provide a really good reason for it. Of course, the poem needs to be on the Daily Poem submission page to be nominated at all.

2007-02-08 [Eriseith]: alright, I was just curious, thank you.

2007-02-12 [Corazie]: The page is password protected... I was going to nominate someone, I'll just add it here?
Poem Title: Imagine our Future
Poet(ess): [Bulma]
Nominator(s): [Corazie]
Why? It makes you actually think about what our future may actually be like. Can we change it or is it too late?

2007-02-12 [Linderel]: It is? Whoops. I'll fix that, then.

2009-05-23 [W.L.]: I'd like to "second" the nomination for "Falling In December!" It's moving!

2009-05-24 [Linderel]: Then second it on the page!

2009-05-25 [W.L.]: Well, that seems deliciously redundant! :)

But I will. I will!

2009-08-22 [kamisch]: Wow, thanks Ethan! Those are the best words I think I've ever read about one of my poems <3 I really, really appreciate it.

2010-06-18 [Linderel]: [Artemis Rising]: The poem by [Din N Ginger] doesn't seem to be on Daily Poem. You can only nominate poems that have been submitted. :)

Hmm. And for some reason, that's not written anywhere. Hum. And this page is kind of obsolete nowadays anyway...

2010-06-19 [Artemis Rising]: thank you for the heads up [Linderel].... why is it obsolete? i have noticed that there hasn't been a daily poem change in quite some time.

2010-06-19 [Linderel]: Actually, the updates have been remarkably regular in the last few months. You're just not following the feature. ;)
As for why this page is slightly obsolete... well, what with the queue and all, it takes absolutely forever for a poem to get featured, and so the nominations will sit here for months on end. To tell you the truth, most of the time I don't even remember the existence of this particular wiki. :P

2014-08-09 [Mortified Penguin]: I can't believe "Written by [Mortified Penguin]" hasn't received more awards...
